What is Castlebar 9s?

Castlebar 9s is a festival where Gaelic football and music join forces to create a unique experience.

Where is it on?

The festival is hosted by Castlebar Mitchels GAA Club, located in Co. Mayo.

When is it on?

It takes place on the 30th & 31st March 2024 - Easter Monday Bank Holiday Weekend.

How do I register my club team?

What entertainment is there?

Our music tent will have a number of exciting musicians and bands performing live music throughout the day and night.

Is there alcohol served?

Yes, we have a bar in our entertainment tent and a fully stocked clubhouse bar upstairs. alcohol will only be served to patrons over the legal age of 18. ID required.

Getting to and from the venue?

A complimentary shuttle bus service will operate between the club grounds, local accommodation, and the town centre.

How many teams will take part?

There will be 10 ladies' and 10 men's teams taking part in the tournament.

How many games will we play?

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games on Saturday and at least one cup game on Sunday.

What's the registration fee and what does it include?

There's a €250 registration fee for each team which includes a chance of winning some of the €2,000 prize money, complimentary entry into the music tent, a post game nutritional food bag, and free shuttle bus service.
